Bitesize Prediction: Swansea vs Bournemouth – 22/02/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Over 1.5 goals

Odds: 4/11 @ 888sport

Hoping to extend their buffer in the automatic promotion places in midweek, Bournemouth will make the trip to Swansea on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, slumping back to losing ways with a nightmare display over the weekend, Swansea have continued to gain a recent reputation for their inconsistencies. Blown away at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon and hit with a 4-0 drumming at the hands of Sheffield United, Russell Martin’s men almost find themselves sat in Championship limbo. Failing to build off of their 3-1 win against Bristol City earlier in the month, the Welsh outfit have won just a pair of their last seven outings, a run that stems back to January 22nd. However, despite showing some extended problems away from the Liberty this season, the former MK Dons boss should be boosted by a much-welcomed boost on home soil. Including an eye-catching victory against promotion contenders Blackburn, Swansea have taken nine points from their last four Championship home fixtures.

As for the visitors, while Bournemouth might have found themselves in the midst of a public struggle when opening 2022, Scott Parker’s men do appear to have put those problems behind them. Last seen on February 12th when snatching a last-gasp winner away at Blackpool, the Cherries are still sat in pole position to book a Premier League return this season. Despite watching their FA Cup adventure come to a shock end against National League outfit Boreham Wood earlier in the month, the former Fulham boss has seen his side win each of their last three Championship outings on the spin. Hoping to lay down another marker at the Liberty here, Bournemouth should also be boosted by their most recent meeting against Tuesday’s opponents. Storming their way to a 4-0 romp at the Vitality, we’re backing what should be another enjoyable affair in midweek.

Bet: Over 1.5 goals at Swansea vs Bournemouth 4/11 for Tuesday’s Championship matchup @ 888sport
