Hoping to clinch back-to-back Primera Division victories in the early hours of Tuesday, Rosario will make the trip to Jose Amalfitani Stadium when they meet Velez Sarsfield.
Starting with the hosts, only just clinging to their Primera Division status last season, it appears that Velez Sarsfield are destined for another top-flight struggle this time around. Along with signing off April with a 0-0 stalemate at home against San Lorenzo, Gareca’s side have recorded just a single goal in any of their previous five outings.
As for the visitors, making an immediate return to winning ways with a thumping display on home soil last week, Rosario are enjoying what has been an eye-catching recent run. Eventually breezing their way to a 4-0 romp against Platense on May 7th, Miguel Russo’s side have certainly made plenty of improvements since opening up the 2023 campaign. Remarkably losing just one of their previous nine Primera Division – a run that stems all the way back to March 3rd – the Rabbie will travel to Liniers confident of making another top-flight statement here. Battling it out in the top-nine chase and now seen as one of the standout contenders to claim a Copa Sudamericana ticket this season, the Rossario-based outfit should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Taking points off of both Newells Old Boys and Boca Juniors on their recent flurry, an away double chance can be found at appealing odds in the early hours of Tuesday.
