Competition: Brazil Serie B

Market: Vila Nova draw no bet

Odds: 2/3 @ 1xBet

Two sides who find themselves battling it out in the Serie B promotion chase, Vila Nova will welcome Avai to the Onesio Brasileiro Alvarenga on Sunday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Vila Nova might have eventually missed out on the chance to claim a Serie A return last season, the Tigers are sat in the driving seat to punch a famous top-four finish this time around. Last seen earlier in the week mounting a dramatic second-half comeback away at Amazonas as they secured a 2-1 win, Higo Magalhaes’ camp are riding what has become quite the wave of momentum. Securing back-to-back 1-0 victories against Mirassol and Goias respectively last month, the Reds have collected 10 points from their previous four Serie B appearances. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat just one-point adrift of climbing to the top of the table, Vila Nova have suffered just a single defeat from any of their previous eight second-tier appearances. With that run stemming all the way back to May 17th, Magalhaes’ side will also be excited by their continued success on home soil. In fact, Sunday’s hosts have won their previous three battles at the Onesio Brasileiro Alvarenga by an aggregate score of 5-2.

As for the visitors, although Avai might have enjoyed a real May purple patch, it is fair to sat that the Santa Catarina-based outfit have come limping back down to earth. Last seen putting in a toothless performance at the Ressacada earlier in the week as they eventually fell to a 1-0 defeat at home against Novorizontino, they have now failed to win any of their previous four Serie B appearances. Likewise, while Time da Raca might also be battling it out in the promotion chase, they have recorded just a sole second-tier victory from any of their last six six outings. Facing what looks set to be another tough examination this weekend, Avai should be worried by what is a downbeat record against Sunday’s hosts. Forced to settle for a 1-1 stalemate when they last met Vila Nova in Serie B action 11 months ago, they have collected just a single point from any of their previous three showdowns against their top-four rivals.

Bet: Vila Nova draw no bet against Avai 2/3 for Sunday’s Brazil Serie B battle @ 1xBet
