Bitesize Prediction: Watford vs Norwich – 15/10/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport

In a Championship showdown that could see chances at both ends of the pitch, Watford will host Norwich on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while new Watford boss Slaven Bilic might have opened his tenure with a thumping 4-0 victory away at Stoke on October 2nd, the Hornets have really come crashing back down to earth. Now only just clinging to their spot in the top-half of the Championship table, the former West Ham boss knows that he has quite a job on his hands. Last seen putting in a nightmare display as they were hit with a shock 3-1 drumming away at Blackpool, Watford have now managed to muster just a single victory from any of their previous six second-tier matchups. With that downbeat run of form stemming all the way back to the end of August, Saturday’s hosts have shown some rather glaring issues at the back. It should be noted, the Hornets have recorded just a single clean sheet from any of their last nine outings.

As for the visitors, while Norwich might still find themselves leading the chase to secure an immediate Premier League return this season, Dean Smith’s are also enduring their own worrying recent blip. Last seen eventually getting hit with an action-packed 3-2 loss at home against Preston, the one-time Aston Villa boss has seen his side win just one of their previous four Championship matchups. Likewise, playing out a pair of 1-1 draws against Reading and West Brom on that run, Norwich have also recorded just a single clean sheet since September 3rd. However, claiming a thumping 3-0 victory when they last faced off against Watford last season, we could be in for another enjoyable affair here. Likewise, with Saturday’s guests seeing five of their last six contests finish with both teams finding the net, we’re backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: Both teams to score at Watford vs Norwich 4/5 for Saturday’s Championship battle @ 888sport
