Competition: National League

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/7 @ BetUS

In what could prove to be an enjoyable National League affair on Tuesday night, Wealdstone will welcome Aldershot to Grosvenor Vale.

Starting with the hosts, while Wealdstone might have opened the New Year with a 2-0 loss at the hands of Ebbsfleet, David Noble’s men have certainly proven that performance was a minor blip. Last seen over the weekend putting in another eye-catching performance as they secured a 2-0 victory against Halifax, the Stones have lost just one of their previous eight appearances – a run that stems all the way back to November 18th. Looking to skyrocket their way into the top-half of the National League table, the former St. Albans boss will be hugely excited by his side’s continued purple patch on home soil. Including consecutive 3-2 victories against Rochdale and Barnet respectively, Wealdstone are unbeaten in all of their last 10 straight contests at Grosvenor Vale. It should also be highlighted, Noble’s men have seen six of their previous seven showdowns in front of their own supporters finish with both teams finding the net.

As for the visitors, managing to make a crucial return to winning ways over the weekend, Aldershot will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. Eventually claiming a lively 3-1 victory at home against Rochdale, Tommy Widdrington’s men are seeking some much-needed stability. Winning just a pair of their previous nine appearances across all competitions, the Hampshire-based outfit open Tuesday’s showdown holding just a one-point buffer from slipping out of the play-off places. Crashing out of the FA Trophy on January 13th following a woeful 6-1 drumming at the hands of fifth-tier outfit Bishop Stortford, the Shots have continued to show some rather glaring defensive issues. In fact, on their recent nine-match blip, Widdrington’s struggling squad have shipped a staggering 27 goals. However, with four of the last five meetings between Tuesday’s opponents finishing with both teams getting on the scoresheet, we are expecting a similar outcome at Grosvenor Vale.

Bet: Both teams to score at Wealdstone vs Aldershot 4/7 for Tuesday’s National League matchup @ BetUS
