Competition: National League
Market: Wrexham win
Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport
Looking to extend on what has been a stunning purple patch, Wrexham will make the trip to Surrey on Saturday evening when they face-off against Woking.
Starting with the hosts, managing to make a much-needed return to winning ways earlier in the week with a 4-1 win against an already-relegated Dover, Woking will be desperate to build off of that result. However, despite recording just their second victory from their last five National League contests last time out, the Surrey-based outfit will know that they face a huge task here. Suffering a 1-0 defeat when they faced off against the fifth-tier high-flyers back on September 11th, it should be noted that the Cardinals have shown some extended issues on home soil this season. Last seen at the Laithwaite Community Stadium getting hit with a disappointing 1-0 loss at home against Torquay, Woking have now lost five of their previous seven National League fixtures in front of their own supporters, a run that stems back to the end of January.
As for the visitors, laying down another stellar marker earlier in the week as they secured a thumping 4-0 win against Altrincham on home soil, Wrexham are in the midst of a real purple patch. Skyrocketing their way up the National League table and appearing to cruise their way to a play-off spot, Phil Parkinson’s men are remarkably unbeaten in each of their previous 15 matchups across all formats. Continuing to shine in the final third, the Dragons have also largely impressed away from the Racecourse Ground. Smelling a real chance on their travels, Wrexham have collected 10 points from their last four fifth-tier fixtures on the road. Likewise, it should be noted, claiming an eye-catching 4-0 romp when they made the trip to Surrey last season, we’re backing a similar away victory here for the National League high-flyers.
