Competition: FA Cup

Market: Wrexham win & Under 4.5 goals

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

Two National League sides who will be looking to extend on their FA Cup adventure on Sunday lunchtime, Wrexham will welcome Oldham to the Racecourse Ground.

Starting with the hosts, while Wrexham might have missed out on a League Two promotion last season, the Dragons have enjoyed another stellar purple patch since opening the 2022/23 campaign. Tipped as one of the leading contenders this time around, Phil Parkinson’s men have suffered just a single defeat since way back on August 16th. Last seen picking up a deserved 1-0 victory at home against Maidenhead, the former Sunderland boss has also seen his high-flying squad win each of their last three National League matchups. Gaining a reputation for their free-scoring displays in the final third, Wrexham should also be boosted by their continued success at the Racecourse Ground. Including a thumping 4-0 win against Altrincham when closing October, Parkinson’s side have won each of their last 11 straight contests on home soil.

As for the visitors, after losing their League Two status last season, Oldham find themselves in the midst of an extended nightmare. While the Latics might have picked up a much-needed 2-0 victory at home against Yeovil last month, it appears that was just a minor boost for David Unsworth’s men. Last seen getting hit with a 2-1 loss away at Halifax, Sunday’s guests have managed to muster just a pair of wins across all formats since the middle of September. Once again looking over their shoulder at the drop zone, Oldham should also be worried by their recent struggles against the National League giants. Including a 2-1 loss when they welcomed Wrexham to Boundary Park back on October 1st, it should be noted that Unsworth’s side have lost each of their previous five meetings.

Bet: Wrexham to beat Oldham and under 4.5 goals 8/11 for Sunday’s FA Cup tie @ 888sport
