Blackburn Rovers have signed Martin Olsson’s brother Marcus, the former Halmstads player has revealed.
Swedish international Martin Olsson has become an important player for Rovers soon after his arrival at Ewood Park, where he will now be joined by his twin brother Marcus.
The 23-year-old has had numerous offers after his contract with Halmstads expired, but he jumped at the opportunity to join Blackburn.
“It feels great, I tried not to think about it too much before it was confirmed, but I signed today and can finally take a breather,” Olsson told Hallandsposten.
According to Sportbladet, the player has signed a lucrative two-and-a-half-year deal with Rovers after rejecting offers from Djurgarden and Viking.
Just like his brother, Marcus also plays on the left, although he is normally considered a midfielder or a winger.
The 23-year-old started his career at Hamlstads, where he featured in exactly 100 league games before his contract expired at the end of 2011.
Olsson scored 12 league goals for the Swedish club, while he also has two Sweden caps to his name.
