The Daily Mirror is reporting that former England goal-keeper Paul Robinson could be allowed to leave Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer in either the January or summer window.
It seems as though Rovers are keen to bring in Tottenham Hotspur keeper Brad Friedel and have him as their number one, which would mean Robinson could be on his way out of Ewood Park.
The 33-year-old would then have a choice of clubs to join and it is his former Spurs boss, Martin Jol that is keen on bringing him to Fulham – especially as he might be able to land his signature for free.
Henning Berg reportedly held talks with Robinson, which has put his future in doubt and now the new Rovers boss will try and land the American international.
Friedel is of course currently at English Premier League outfit Tottenham and has been Andre Villas-Boas’ number one choice for the majority of the campaign.
However, with Hugo Lloris waiting in the wings and putting in a superb performance in the Europa League this week – Friedel may be allowed to leave.
The 41-year-old had a superb spell of his career again and he could now be heading back to the North West.
