Blackpool 4/9 to get relegated from the Championship this season

Competition: Championship
Market: Blackpool to get relegated
Odds: 4/9 @ Ladbrokes

Blackpool have had a torrid summer. The Seasiders lost the majority of their squad following the end of the last season, and could only name four substitutes in their opening league game. Unsurprisingly, Blackpool lost 2-0 to Nottingham Forest, and many feel they will get relegated from the division as a result of their mismatched squad.

Manager Jose Riga has brought in 13 new players to the team this season in a bid to have adequate cover in all positions, but losing 27 players means Blackpool have a difficult task to replace the departures.

Last season, the Tangerines finished 20th in the league table, surviving with just two points more than Doncaster who suffered relegation. They went on a horrible run of form during 2013/14, winning just three games from 28 matches.

Ladbrokes are giving odds of 4/9 for Blackpool to get relegated from the Championship this season as a result. They have gotten off to the worst possible start in losing their first league outing of the new campaign, and the bookmakers aren’t convinced they will have enough to stay in the division.
