Blackpool secretary Matt Williams has moved to quash rumours linking first-team boss Ian Holloway to manager-less Swansea City.
Holloway became an immediate favourite to replace Brendan Rodgers after the Northern Irishman moved to Liverpool, with former Barcelona star Michael Laudrup also in calculations to lead the Welsh club.
However, the Championship side insist that no approach has yet been made by Swansea, and the 49-year-old Holloway is preparing for next season with Blackpool.
Williams told The Blackpool Gazette: “We would like to reiterate that we have had no contact with Swansea about our manager.
“As far as we are concerned there is nothing in it. Ian has not spoken to them and it’s business as usual.
“He has been busy planning pre-season as normal and we are all looking forward to hopefully going one better and gaining promotion back to the Premier League this season.”
Blackpool narrowly missed out on a return to the Premier League last season, losing out to West Ham in the Championship play-off final.
