Juventus are set to sign French midfielder Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint-Germain, according to various reports in Italy.
The Bianconeri appear to have decided to match a €25 million asking price, offering €20 million up front plus another €5 million in bonuses.
The agreement appears to have been reached, allowing Matuidi to travel to Turin, where he will undergo a medical ahead of signing a long-term contract.
This is definitely good news for all the parties concerned as Juventus have been hot on the player’s trail for well over a year, while PSG need the money from the sale to balance the books after going all out for Neymar.
Capable of operating as a central midfielder or on the left wing, Matuidi should be a very good addition to the Juventus squad, as the Bianconeri hope to launch another assault on the Champions League trophy.
