Manager Laurent Blanc has signed a new two-year deal with Ligue 1 side Girondins de Bordeaux. This was announced on Monday.
At a press conference, Bordeaux chairman Jean Louis Triaud hailed the coach for his achievements since joining in 2007, adding that he is the first manager to threaten the dominance of Olympique de Lyon.
43-year-old Blanc retired from professional football in 2003, spending the last two years of his career at Manchester United.
