France boss Laurent Blanc will have a meeting with the head of the French Football Federation Noel Le Graet to discuss his future as coach.
The retired defender had a disagreement with the FFF over the extension of his contract prior to the European Championship, and following France’s exit from Euro 2012 at the hands of Spain, rumours have started circulating that he may leave his position.
“I saw Laurent last night. We will meet soon to discuss the future,” Le Graet told French radio station RMC.
“As a man, Laurent has always been respectful and pleasant. We must talk about football, his desire and his career. We must see how he sees things and how I see them.”
“This has been an acceptable European Championship. The Spanish were better, with a collective level higher than ours.
“Nevertheless, there was nothing to be ashamed of. Spain did not create many opportunities, but we did not perform very well in attack as well.
“The opponents were too strong for a France team that has progressed, but is not yet at their level.”
