Blatter re-elected FIFA president

Sepp Blatter has been voted in as FIFA president for a fourth term, despite growing controversy over the way the organisation is run.

Blatter was elected unopposed at FIFA’s annual congress in Zurich on Wednesday, with his only rival for the post – Asian Football Confederation president Mohamed Bin Hammam – out of the running after being suspended on Sunday.

Of FIFA’s 208 member associations, 186 voted for the Swiss national, who has been in the job since 1998.
