Blind to stay with Manchester United

Daley Blind’s proposed deadline day move to Roma fell through due to Manchester United’s keenness for the deal to be made permanent, according to the Express.

The Serie A outfit turned their attention to Argentinian full-back Jonathan Silva, who has moved to the Stadio Olimpico on loan from Sporting Lisbon for the remainder of the season with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

This means that Blind will be remaining at Old Trafford, at least until the summer despite him making just five Premier League appearances so far this season.

Since signing for United from Ajax following the 2014 World Cup finals, the twenty-seven year old has played one hundred and thirty-nine times in all competitions, scoring six goals.

During his time with the club he has won the FA Cup, EFL Cup and Europa League having won four consecutive Eredivise titles with Ajax.
