According to a recent report from Sport Bild, Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng could still leave the club during the remainder of the summer transfer window. They only want a fee of around £20 million for the veteran defender, and while that may seem like a lot of money to most clubs, it feels like a bit of a bargain when you consider that Boateng is only 30 years of age.
The German international hasn’t been playing at the top of his game over the course of the last few years, but in terms of overall quality, he’s still one of the most exciting defenders in European football – if not world football.
Bayern have been incredibly busy throughout the course of the window up to this point, and it wouldn’t be all too surprising to see them make a few more signings and allow for a few more departures before the window officially shuts for another four months.
