German media outlet Sport Bild has suggested that Kevin-Prince Boateng might decide to leave Schalke next summer.
The 27-year-old joined the Miners from AC Milan last summer, and he enjoyed a very good first season at the club.
However, the attacking midfielder has experienced all sorts of problems this term and he is reportedly unhappy at Veltins Arena.
Boateng initially clashed with former coach Jens Keller and general manager Horst Heldt for the lack of support when he was heavily criticised at the start of the season.
The Ghana international was also unhappy for being forced to play through the pain as he battled an ankle injury, and with his current deal due to expire in June 2016, a summer exit appears on the cards.
The Miners chiefs still believe Boateng has a lot to offer at Veltins Arena, but it remains to be seen if they can persuade their star player to stay.
