Boateng deal off?

According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng held talks earlier this week with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho – to tell him that he was honoured by the club’s interest in him, however, it seems as if he won’t be moving to Old Trafford after all. Boateng reportedly doesn’t believe that the Red Devils are capable of winning the Champions League this season, which is a big selling point for the 29-year-old.

Boateng, who had a poor World Cup campaign earlier this summer, has his sights set on another European title and seems to feel like Bayern give him the best chance of accomplishing that goal.

United have been in desperation mode over the course of the last few weeks, and with the new season being right around the corner, you have to question how prepared the squad is to tackle the trials and tribulations of the Premier League season.
