According to Marca, midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng could be on the verge of a return to Serie A in the next few weeks. The 31-year-old is perhaps best known for his initial run in English football, where he played for Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth. Beyond that, he moved to AC Milan where he spent the next three years of his career before bouncing around Schalke, Las Palmas and Milan again until he finally settled at Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany last year.
Alas, it seems as if his time there could be coming to a swift end, with Sassuolo reportedly being in line to bring him back to Italy. The club finished 11th in the top flight last season, whereas Eintracht just about managed to secure a top-half finish in the Bundesliga by finishing 8th.
Boateng holds an important place in the game, with many fans and pundits praising him for his work in relation to anti-racism.
