Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng is said to be interested in holding talks with the club’s chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in order to clear the air between the two parties. For a while during the summer transfer window, it seemed as if the German international was on his way out of the club, either to Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United. Alas, that didn’t come to fruition, and now he’s hoping to move on by confirming to the chairman that he is committed to staying at Bayern.
The chairman, as well as the club’s president, indicated that Boateng could be available for sale if the right price came in for him. Alas, it seems as if that never occurred, and while there have likely been tensions in the last few months it seems as if things are starting to cool down as Boateng attempts to re-focus on the task at hand – domestic and European success.
