Boca Juniors defended their lead in the Argentinian Primera División with a 2-1 win over Racing Club de Avellaneda.

Juan Roman Riquelme scored from the penalty spot in the 40th minute but had his goal cancelled out by Sosa just before the interval.

Riquelme again made the difference in the second half though, netting the winner on 59 minutes.

Tigre remained in second place thanks to a 3-1 win over River Plate, who had a good start as Salcedo opened the score within two minutes.

But two goals from Luna turned things around before the break and Bardaro added a third to decide things late on. His excessive celebrations earned him a second yellow card, thus red.
