Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic has refused to comment on the speculations suggesting he was set to remain at Ajax beyond the current season.
The talented footballer joined the Amsterdammers on a season-long loan in the summer, and daily newspaper De Telegraaf claims the Dutch giants have the option to extend the deal for another season.
And with Krkic having finally started to live up to the billing, everything suggests that he will be staying at Ajax after all.
The 23-year-old produced the best performance of the season in weekend’s 3-0 triumph over title rivals Twente, scoring his third goal of the campaign.
However, Krkic reveals he will only make a decision on his future after the current season comes to an end.
“We first want to be champions and win the cup, then we’ll talk about the future. Now I want to prove my worth,” Krkic was quoted as saying in De Telegraaf.
Following the impressive triumph over Twente, Ajax are available at 2/7 to defeat RKC Waalwijk on the road tomorrow evening.
