A Bolivian player injected some imagination into proceedings when called for his second doping test of the year by recording the event on his mobile phone.

Walter Flores, a midfielder with top side Bolivar, tested positive for cocaine in April only to be cleared of using the banned substance when world ruling body FIFA said anti-doping procedures had not been followed properly.

Flores, according to La Prensa daily, made sure he wasn’t taken for a dope a second time.

“I filmed everything with my mobile phone. I want to make sure I don’t have any problems afterwards,” said Flores.

“I don’t want to endure the same kind of experience I had last time.”

A urine sample from Flores initially tested positive for cocaine following a Copa Libertadores match in April. Two months later he was handed a two-year ban by the South American football federation (CONMEBOL).

When Flores appealed to FIFA, the decision was annulled. Ironically, Flores is still not eligible for the national side because he is missing the necessary paperwork to say he is cleared to play.
