Serie A returns this weekend with another round of incredibly important games to come. The entire league table is incredibly tight with the exception of Benevento at the bottom, which means that a win can see a team catapult themselves up a number of places. With this in mind, there is a real battle in midtable as Bologna host Cagliari on Sunday.

Bologna have been in good form over the last two games as they have picked up six points, however, the three games prior to that ended in defeat. Six wins, two draws and six defeats have seen the home side to eighth in the table, 10 points clear of SPAL in 18th. On a more optimistic note, they are looking to bridge the gap between themselves and Sampdoria in sixth, but they are six points behind them having played a game more. With a gap emerging between themselves and the European places, this is a must-win game, or Bologna could find themselves falling a long way behind.

For Cagliari, it has been something of a disappointing season. After 14 games they have won five times, losing the other nine. They are one of just a few teams that are yet to draw this season, showing that they are very much an all or nothing type of side. 13 goals scored is a rather paltry record, while they have been creaking at the back having conceded 24 times already this season. If they are to climb the table this campaign, they must learn how to score more goals and concede less. With this in mind, we are backing Bologna to win with odds of 21/20 with Bet365.
