Bolton 21/10 to beat Birmingham in Wednesdays Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Bolton win

Odds: 21/10 @ Bet 365

Two sides that were battling it out to avoid the drop last season, Bolton have enjoyed a far more impressive start to the new campaign and will look to carry on their impressive run of form when they play host to Birmingham on Wednesday.

Starting with the hosts on Wednesday, after only avoiding the drop on the last game of last season, Phil Parkinson’s side have looked far sharper this time around. Although they may have fallen to a 2-1 loss to a high-flying Leeds side, Bolton are unbeaten in their opening three league matches after picking up wins against both West Brom and Reading. One man to watch for The Trotters is Dutch winger Yanic Wildschut. In his opening three Championship games, the 26-year-old has found the net twice and should be watched on Wednesday.

As for the visitors, after only a late push helped them avoid the drop last year, it appears that Gary Monk’s side could be in for a similar battle this time around. Crashing out of the Cup with a 2-0 defeat to Reading, a match where the former Boro manager made a string of chances, The Blues have now failed to win any of their opening three Championship outings. Now failing to find the net in their last three matches on the bounce and with just one Championship clean sheet since the start of April, it we expect another tough nights work for Birmingham.
