Bolton boss will not make new Veloso bid

Bolton boss Gary Megson insists the club will not make a new bid to sign Portugal international Miguel Veloso from Sporting Lisbon.

The Trotters tried to sign Veloso in the January transfer window and has been linked with a new move for the midfielder.

Reports claim Sporting Lisbon want around £15million for the highly-rated midfielder.

“We were trying to get Veloso done in January, but we’re not capable of doing the kind of deal they are talking about,” the Trotters boss told the Bolton News.

“We’re just not in that league.”

Manchester City have also been linked with a move for Veloso.
