Bolton have completed a season-long loan deal for Nantes striker Ivan Klasnic with a view to a permamant deal at the end of the season.
The Croatian international first made his name at St Pauli before moving to Werder Bremen where he helped the German side to the Bundesliga and in the UEFA Champions League, scoring 5 times in the group stages.
The 29-year-old has also netted 11 times in 35 games for Croatia and becomes Gary Megson’s sixth summer signing, whilst the club remain the lowest spending side in the Premier League with the loan deal being completed.
Megson told the official club website: “Ivan is a player we’ve been tracking for a while. His goalscoring record is good and he has an excellent pedigree internationally and domestically in Europe.”
However, a rumoured last-ditch bid for Diomansy Kamara is said to be purely speculation as the club insist they know nothing of the deal.
