According to a report on Channel4.com, Livorno striker Diego Tristan has been linked with three Premier League sides and Bolton boss Gary Megson is apparently the most interested.
The Spanish international joined Livorno last summer and made 20 appearances but woefully scoring just once.
Despite his miserable spell at the Stadio Armando Picchi, Tristan is also believed to be a target for Bolton, West Ham and Newcastle.
The 32-year-old hitman was once considered to be one of Europe’s top strikers when he scored 77 goals in 179 games for Deportivo La Coruna.
Former Bolton Coach Sam Allardyce attempted to sign him over the summer of 2006 but he opted to join Mallorca where he also had an unhappy stint.
