Bolton recruit Chinedu Obasi

Championship side Bolton Wanderers have moved to confirm the signing of former Hoffenheim star Chinedu Obasi.

The 31-year-old has joined on a free transfer from AIK Solna, signing a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The experienced forward will add a new dimension to the Bolton attack, having impressed to score 11 goals in 19 league appearances for the Swedish side.

Having previously represented Hoffenheim and Schalke in German Bundesliga, Obasi arrives with quite a pedigree, probably hoping to also get a taste of Premier League football in the future.

Bolton are involved in the difficult relegation tussle in the Championship and having managed mere 30 goals in 35 league games this term, they could really use the Nigerian hitting the ground running early on.
