Bolton are favourites to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Simon Vukcevic, according to A Bola.
The Montenegrin international has been deemed surplus to requirements at Jose Alvalade following the arrivals of Stijn Schaars, Jeffren Suarez and Diego Capel.
Even though the player has one year left on his contract, Sporting Lisbon are reportedly prepared to rescind his contract this summer so as to avoid paying his wages for another year.
This basically means that Vukcevic will be available on a free transfer and Premiership side Bolton have been alerted of his availability.
As a highly skilled player, Vukcevic is the most comfortable as an attacking midfielder but he can also play on either wing.
Seeing that Bolton’s winger Lee Chung-Yong has just suffered a broken leg, Owen Coyle could see Vukcevic as a perfect replacement for the Korean and he is set to make a move for the Montenegrin.
