AC Milan centre-back Daniele Bonera is eyeing Champions League football with his club in the 2013-14 campaign.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men currently sit third in Serie A, two points behind second-placed Napoli.
Bonera is certain his team have what it takes to leapfrog the Naples outfit and secure a group-stage berth in the elite competition.
“Juventus are having an incredible season, but second place can be reached,” the Italian told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We’ve done some extraordinary things over these last few months. Second in the table is achievable, but we still have two hard months left which will include a number of head-to-head games.”
Bonera added he would be happy to stay at San Siro and help contribute to Milan’s success in the future.
“I hope that I can move forward with this club,” the out-of-favour defender said. “I’ve been at Milan for seven years and I’d like to continue here.”
Milan resume Serie A action at Chievo on Saturday.
