After booking their spot in the group stage of this years Europa League, Bordeaux will look to carry on their impressive start to the season when they travel to Roazhon Park on Sunday.

Starting with Sabri Lamouchi’s Rennes side, while Sunday’s hosts may have been able to secure a record-breaking fifth-place finish in Ligue 1 last season, it has been a slow start to the new campaign. Coming off the back of a 2-2 draw with Marseille last time out, Lille did put three past them on the opening weekend and they have only beat Bordeaux once at Roazhon in their last six meetings.

As for Bordeaux, while they may still be without a permanent replacement for former boss Gus Poyet, the visitors are coming off the back of a 2-0 win over Gent that booked their spot in the group stages of this years Europa League. Beating Monaco 2-1 in an impressive performance against Monaco, many at Bordeaux are hopeful of the new season. One man to watch for the visitors is top scorer François Kamano. Along with scoring against Gent in midweek, he also netted a brace against Monaco last week.
