Bordeaux in talks over Koscielny

According to a recent report from Sky sources, French clubs Bordeaux and Rennes are currently in talks with Arsenal Football Club over the potential signing of Laurent Koscielny. Bordeaux’s president has made it known that he would be really interested in the idea of bringing the Frenchman over to Ligue 1, however, neither club has yet matched the valuation that was set out for him.

The writing has been on the wall for the defender ever since he refused to go on the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, which is the kind of behaviour you wouldn’t expect from someone who is supposed to be the club captain.

While Arsenal need all the help that they can get from a defensive point of view it certainly doesn’t feel like Koscielny is going to be able to offer them all too much in terms of high quality performances in the Premier League.
