French media outlet Ouest France is reporting that Bordeaux are the latest side to have joined the race for Rennes forward Paul-Georges Ntep.
The 24-year-old has been linked with quite a few top clubs in the past, including Lazio, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Monaco, and he is widely expected to leave les Bretons in the near future.
Despite the fact that his deal with Rennes is due to expire in June, Ntep doesn’t want to leave on a free transfer as he wants to pay the club back for helping him revive his career.
However, the forward is still unable to agree a contract extension with les Bretons, and that is something that Bordeaux hope to exploit.
Namely, les Girondins have scored mere 16 goals in 13 league appearances this season and they clearly believe that a player like Ntep can help them improve the poor scoring record.
