Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux have turned their attention to Youssef El Arabi and Yannick Sagbo as they are in the market for attacking reinforcements, according to L’Equipe.
Les Girondins aim to recruit a new striker as their top scorer Cheick Diabate is away on Africa Cup of Nations duty and they were hoping to wrap up a loan deal for Arsenal youngster Yaya Sanogo.
But, with Arsene Wenger insisting that the Frenchman should be loaned to a Premier League side, Bordeaux are forced to pursue other targets.
According to L’Equipe, les Girondins were looking to sign former Caen star Youssef El Arabi on loan from Granada, but coach Willy Sagnol was informed that the player would prefer an outright transfer.
As a result, Bordeaux have switched their focus towards Hull City attacker Yannick Sagbo, who has been on the fringes at KC Stadium.
The 26-year-old hopes to return to French Ligue 1 and he is reportedly tempted by the prospect of moving to Stade Chaban-Delmas.
