According to the player’s agent, Fabio Borini never wanted to leave Roma for Liverpool in the summer transfer window, the Metro Reports.
Borini has struggled to settle into life in the English Premier League so far and it seems as though he was keen for another season in Serie A with Roma.
The 21-year-old has had a number of clubs in his short career so far and after getting settled and playing well for Roma he was on the move again, this time to Merseyside.
His agent has said: “Borini’s move to Liverpool happened very quickly, he wanted to stay at AS Roma and he had also bought a house there.
“But the club decided to sell him to Liverpool and for him it was a very pleasant destination.”
Borini has had spells at Chelsea, Parma, Swansea, Roma and now Liverpool so it is understandable that he was not over the moon to be on the move again.
However, he does seem keen to prove himself in the English Premier League and if he can get a couple of goals, then is sure to love playing for Liverpool.
Borini is likely to feature for the Reds in their Europa League match on Thursday, where he will be hopeful of finding the net and some confidence.
