Borussia Dortmund have launched an assault on Legia Warsaz wonderkid Rafal Wolski, according to Bild.
The 19-year-old midfielder is widely regarded as the hottest prospect in Poland and he was even included in Poland’s final squad for Euro 2012.
The youngster was handed a national team debut in the friendly win over Latvia, while he played some part in the Slovakia game as well.
According to Bild and the player’s agent, Wolski is now followed by a host of top European clubs and he looks set to leave Legia in the summer.
One of the player’s representatives Maik Barthel reveals that Borussia Dortmund are leading the race for his client’s signature.
“We have already had concrete conversations with Borussia Dortmund,” Barthel was quoted as saying in Bild.
The Bundesliga champions were ready to pay around €4.5 million for the highly rated midfielder, but his price has soared following his impressive debut for the national team.
Agent Maik Barthel reveals that Borussia Dortmund are not the only major club showing interest in his client.
“Borussia would obviously be an exciting challenge for Rafal. But there is a number of big clubs who have enquired about him.”
The young midfielder has been in fine form this season, scoring 6 goals in 21 league games for Legia.
