The Bundesliga is back and with its return comes some intriguing matches. Three teams are starting to open up a lead at the top of the table, while FC Koln seem to have already been cut adrift at the bottom, with definite safety now six points away. However, Borussia Dortmund’s trip to play Hannover 96 is anything but a relegation battle, with the two sides battling at the top of the league.

Hannover have been in good form this season as they currently sit in sixth place in the league with 15 points, eight clear of the relegation zone. However, their recent run of results in which they have lost twice, drawn twice and won just once has seen them lose ground on those at the top, with their next opponents now five points clear of them. A win today would bring Hannover right back into the title race then, but they will have to be at their best if they are to get anything from the game.

Borussia Dortmund, on the other hand, have been in very good form this season as they currently sit at the top of the Bundesliga. Six wins from nine games along with two draws and just one defeat means they are enjoying a very good campaign so far, and a victory on Saturday would see them stay at the top unless Bayern Munich hammer RB Leipzig.
