Desperate to extend their advantage over Bayern Munich, league leaders Borussia Dortmund will travel to relegation contenders Augsburg on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of arguably their worst display in last weekend’s 5-1 hammering away at Freiburg, Augsburg now hold just a two-point buffer over slipping into the drop zone. Losing their last three Bundesliga outings on the bounce, Manuel Baum will be growing more concerned by his sides defensive issues. Along five shipping five on last week, Augsburg have now shipped 12 goals on their losing run. Also conceding four when they met Dortmund back in November, Friday could prove to be another long night for Baum’s men.

As for the visitors, picking up a much-needed 3-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen last weekend, Lucien Favre will be calling for his side to extend their three-point buffer over Bayern. Holding the best-attacking record in Germany’s top-tier, one man to watch on Friday will be England international Jadon Sancho. The 18-year-old found the net last weekend and now has two goals in his last three Bundesliga appearances.
