German media outlet Bild has learned that Borussia Dortmund have all but agreed to sign Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino from Osasuna.
The Millionaires had agreed a transfer fee with the Spanish side in the January window, only for Osasuna to request more money after the deal had been struck.
And while that prevented Borussia from recruiting the talented footballer this winter, they have now secured his signature for the 2016/2017 campaign.
Namely, Bild has suggested that BVB have had a €4 million offer accepted, with only minor details left to be sorted.
Borussia Dortmind sporting director Michael Zorc also went to confirm that the deal was on the horizon, so it looks as though there are no obstacles to the 19-year-old moving to Signal-Iduna Park in the summer.
The Millionaires play host to Hannover on Saturday afternoon hoping to place extra pressure on title rivals Bayern Munich, and home win pays 1/7.
