According to a recent report from Bild, Borussia Dortmund have pinpointed Timo Werner as one of their primary targets to replace Erling Haaland when he leaves.
The Norwegian star has been heavily linked with a move away from Dortmund but the overriding belief is that he won’t actually leave until next summer. When that happens, Dortmund are going to have their eyes on Chelsea forward Timo Werner – a man who has struggled when it comes to making an impact in the Premier League.
He’s had a few bright moments at Stamford Bridge but largely, he’s failed to live up to the incredibly high expectations that were initially put in front of him.
Haaland is going to take an awful lot of goals with him wherever he goes and that’s a void Dortmund will be desperate to fill. Werner may not enjoy life in England with regards to hitting the back of the net, but Bundesliga has always been pretty kind to him in that regard.
