Borussia Dortmund eyeing Matthijs de Ligt

SportBild understands that Borussia Dortmund are hot on the trail of Ajax starlet Matthijs de Ligt.

The Millionaires plan to offload Neven Subotic in the winter, while adding another centre-back to the squad, and the Amsterdammers stopper has emerged as their top target.

It was current Borussia Dortmund boss Peter Bosz who gave De Ligt a chance to shine at Amsterdam ArenA, and he now wants to be reunited with the 18-year-old at Signal-Iduna Park.

The highly rated centre-back recently signed a new deal until June 2021 with Ajax and he is currently valued at €20 million.

Speaking to SportBild, De Ligt’s agent confirmed that his client felt very grateful to Peter Bosz, but also ruled out a winter exit.

Borussia Dortmund are six points behind Spurs and Real Madrid after sharing spoils with APOEL, and they are 8/1 to qualify for the UCL knockout stages.
