Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund have reportedly set sights on the Argentina striker Lautaro Martinez with a new €32 million offer already mooted by the German media.
Ruhr Nachrichten reports that Borussia Dortmund have identified Lautaro Martinez as a long-term replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but face a tough battle for his signature.
BVB already attempted to sign Martinez in January but ended up brining Michy Batshuayi instead. The Belgium forward has impressed at the beginning of his loan spell but is not expected to remain at Dortmund once the current season comes to its end.
In the meantime, the 20-year-old Martinez was thought to be on his way to Inter Milan with a pre-contract agreement believed to be made but Bundesliga giants are now hoping to hijack the deal with an improved offer.
Lautaro Martinez has been in fine form for Racing Club this season, already netting 12 goals in 14 appearances.
His performances have got him linked with a host of Europe’s top sides, most notably Arsenal, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
