Bundesliga champions-elect Borussia Dortmund are said to have launched an audacious move for Ajax star Hakim Ziyech, hoping to seal the deal before the transfer window closes.
France Football are claiming that BVB have set their sights on the 24-year-old who is unlikely to be allowed to leave the club this winter.
Dutch heavyweights Ajax have already agreed to sell Frenkie de Jong to Barcelona at the end of the season and will be reluctant to lose one of their top performers midway through the season.
Ajax are still competing in the Champions League and that could prove to be another big reason why any possible approach for Ziyech could be stopped in its tracks.
The 25-year-old Morocco international is currently worth €35 million but it would take a substantial bid to convince Ajax to let him leave.
Ziyech made 32 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 16 goals and providing eight assists.
