Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter has emerged as a transfer target for Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund, according to reports coming from Bristol Post.
The 21-year-old talent is currently plying his trade at Vitesse Arnhem, where his performances have caught the eye of clubs around Europe.
Clarke-Salter has had loan spells at Bristol Rovers and Sunderland earlier in his career in enjoying a successful spell in the Netherlands. Having already made it into the Eredivisie’s Team of the Week a couple of times already this early in the season, Jake Clarke-Salter is gaining plenty of admiring glances.
The defender is highly rated at Chelsea and is contracted to the Stamford Bridge outfit until 2021 but Borussia Dortmund are reportedly set to test Blues’ resolve to hold on to the youngster when the transfer window reopens in January.
Bayern Leverkusen are another high-profile side said to be keeping tabs on the defender, whereas Burnley and Fulham are also believed to be interested.
