UEFA Champions League quarter-finalists Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the signing of Colombia international forward Adrian Ramos from Hertha BSC for an undisclosed fee.
Ramos, 28, will officially join Dortmund on 1 July 2014, having put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Signal Iduna Park.
The Colombian hitman, formerly of América de Cali, has been on cracking form for Die Blau-Weißen this season.
In fact, only Mario Mandzukic and Robert Lewandowski have scored more goals (17) than Ramos (16) in the Bundesliga this season.
The arrival of Ramos will help fill the void left by the aforementioned Lewandowski, who is set to leave Dortmund for Bayern Munich in the summer.
“Adrian Ramos is an excellent footballer and one of the top strikers in Germany. He fits perfectly the profile of player we want at Borussia Dortmund,” BVB sporting director Michael Zorc told the club’s official website.
Hertha BSC (10-7-12) are scheduled to lock horns with an out-of-sorts Bayer Leverkusen (15-3-11) side, who have won just one of their last nine league fixtures, on Sunday.

Azmoun claims to have offers from Arsenal, Juventus and Milan
Rubin Kazan ace Sardar Azmoun has revealed he has offers on the table from AC Milan, Arsenal and Juventus as he contemplates his long-term future.
The highly-rated Iran youth international, 19, has alerted a number of top clubs across Europe, including Barcelona, with his performances in the Russian Premier League this term.
However, a move to Catalunya is unlikely due to the FIFA-imposed transfer ban on Barca, meaning that England or Italy are the most likely destinations for the Iranian whizkid.
“I have offers from three major clubs: Arsenal, AC Milan and Juventus,” Azmoun told showNavad.
“I also had an offer from Barcelona, but due to their transfer ban the club is out of the picture at the moment.
“The talks with both Milan and Arsenal are getting very serious. Both clubs have spoken to Kazan.
“But for me, it’s important to keep focus on Kazan. We have seven games left, I will decide after these games.
“I’m very proud to have Arsenal looking at me but, as I said, right now I’m only focusing on the Russian league.”
In all likelihood, Azmoun will be named to Team Melli’s 2014 World Cup squad by manager Carlos Queiroz.
Other notable Iran internationals are Javad Nekounam (formerly of Osasuna), Eintracht Braunschweig goalkeeper Daniel Davari, NEC winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Standard Liège forward Reza Ghoochannejhad.
Iran are priced at 2500/1 to win this summer’s World Cup finals.
