Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund will exercise their €23 million purchase option to buy Paco Alcacer outright from Barcelona.
The 25-year-old Spanish international has been in sensational form in the opening stages of the 2018/19 season, widely impressing Borussia Dortmund officials who are keen to make his loan deal a permanent transfer as soon as possible.
Alcacer made an instant impact in Germany, bagging seven goals in just four appearances for Borussia Dortmund.
His rich vein of form continued in the international break as well with Paco Alcacer scoring a brace in Spain’s 4-1 victory over Wales.
German media outlet Bild suggested shortly after the match that Dortmund have definitely decided to activate the purchase option and tie Alcacer down on a four-year contract worth €8 million per season.
Alcacer is set to become Dortmund’s third-highest paid player with Mario Gotze and Marco Reus being the only ones ahead of him.
