Premier League giants Arsenal already look set to lose both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, but they could well be set for another high profile departure in this January transfer window, according to Sky Sports, as Olivier Giroud is being linked with a loan switch to Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.
Giroud is in his sixth season with the Gunners, but he has never quite managed to establish himself as a consistent enough starter under Arsene Wenger, despite his impressive goal scoring record. The French international has scored four times in 15 brief Premier League appearances this season, most of which have come from the bench.
With Alexandre Lacazette having signed for the North London club in the summer, Giroud’s game time has become even more limited. Arsenal have also been linked with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, so the fact that the French striker could be heading the opposite way makes a lot of sense.
