When Manchester United approached Borussia Dortmund regarding the signing of Jadon Sancho, the German giants wanted Mason Greenwood in return, as reported by ESPN.
Ahead of the window reopening, United made it clear that they are very interested in attempting to bring Sancho to Old Trafford. It always seemed as if that was the direction both clubs were leaning in, but when Dortmund came back and said they wanted Greenwood, the Red Devils stood firm.
They are maintaining the stance that the 18-year-old is not going to be available in any future dealings between the two, with many United fans looking at the teenage sensation as the next big thing at the club.
Sancho, on the other hand, seems destined to leave Germany if there is anything resembling a normal transfer window this summer. If not, he could end up entertaining the idea of a return to the Premier League after all.
